The Call for Nominations opens January 15, 2019. We are seeking candidates for six (6) open positions.
SCAVA is seeking candidates with a passion for Volunteer Management and a desire to advance the profession. With exciting new plans and opportunities on the horizon, SCAVA needs and welcomes the enthusiastic participation of the Board of Directors.

The SCAVA Board is an active board, making a real difference for volunteers and volunteer managers in South Carolina! Those elected to the board will serve a two year term (2019 - 2021).

Our 2019 slate will consist of new board members and current board members seeking a second term. We welcome representation from all areas of the state, but areas with an immediate need for representation include the Midlands, Lowcountry, and Pee Dee regions.
The board meets monthly, alternating between web-based virtual meetings and in-person meetings in Columbia. The volunteer commitment is approximately 10 hours per month. Individuals may nominate themselves or a colleague. The nomination period will remain open through March 15, 2019. Selected candidates will complete a phone interview. If accepted, new board members will begin their term in April 2019 at the SCAVA Annual Meeting.
